Saturday 23rd September, so you have plenty of advance warning... This is an experiment to see if we can do this, and when I say 'we' I means us, the Roleplaying community of the Scarshield Legion Server. A crack at one of the few 40 man raids out there. First time out one purple/blue item per person roll for need only. Green/unusual items raid rolled, .i.e. the Master Looter rolls 1-40 and the person with that number gets the item. We have established Raid Leaders; Anshe, Grok, Stiiko who have run us through ZG many times but we can discuss leadership later. Simple question, are you guys up for this? If so we have a raid sign up system here: www.ashenorder.net/phpraid/index.phpPlease feel free to sign up that way we can have an idea of whether this is going to work or not.

I'd love to sign up as your last 'lock, but A) my gear probably leaves a lot to be desired, and B) I can't register to your site, for some reason.

I'll poke our administrator and get her to sort out the registering problem.

I would like to at least see the inside of that place, even if we crash and burn (literally). So i've signed up ... we are going to be seriously short of priests though i think.

Good luck getting the numbers for it. I'll be surprised and delighted if you manage it, considering how hard you have to work to get a full 20 in Zul'Gurub, and the current state of the bloodpact.
I won't be participating though I'm afraid.

I was trying to make a profile on your site, but there's no theater of cruelty there... I chose Ashen Order for now.

I did one run in my life there, with "basic" 60 gear (from which a lot of green gear) and that wasn't much of an issue. Gear is important for the main tank and that's it. It becomes important for everyone when you get to the end of MC I guess. Overall, don't feel you shouldn't sign up because of your gear. Come and enjoy !

I agree with Rwog, Caernwych. Come along regardless of gear. Nickodemus, our problems with a Zul'Gurub 20 man is everybody having appropriate warning. A weeks notice for many isn't enough. Thus the future date to give plenty of warning. At posting this we have 23 signups, only 3 priests and about 6 warriors, or so. We are heavy on the damage count but low on healing. 17 spaces still to go though.

By the way, what are the expectations of the people setting up this event ? Assembling a full 40 man raid ?
With 25-30 people, we can still kill trash mobs, but it's true that we need way more healing than there actually is.

expectations are to scout out the place, I certainly have never been in and I think only really our raid leaders have seen the inside of the place before. Killing patrols, examining the area maybe attempting the first boss if we have the numbers. If the number's fail us we'll go anyway and scout out the place.

I've been in there many many times before, and at about four bars to 60 I think whether I'll be able to come will depend entirely on the state of my saturday. Of course, the only advice I can give people is to make a "/ra Dog inc!" macro; I found myself spamming that a lot for the first few runs. On the subject of possibly attacking the first boss... Luci depends a lot on those who can decurse, I think it was. So, how are we for druids and mages?

These are the things you need to remember before going to the Molten Core. 1. The place is literally burning. So don't bring stuff that will easily catch fire. Bring all your most fire resistant gear or you will be running home naked. ((Bring all the fire res gear you have. Goal FR for classes, Tank 315, Melee 200-250, casters 125. This is the resistance you should be aiming for when we get to raggy. So if you don't have it yet it's no big deal.)) 2. Bring your own bandages. You need to be able to take care of yourself, the healers don't have to time or mana to care for everyone. This is extra important for melee classes. ((Bring at least 20 Heavy Runecloth Bandages!!)) 3. See to it that you are attuned to Molten Core. If you are not attuned yet. We will dedicate an evening this wednesday to get everyone attuned. So if you need to be attuned contact me or Izaika around 20.00 on wednesday the 20th. Stiiko, Councillor of Ashen Order ((Out of game preparations: 1. Get CT_RaidAssist. It helps I promise! Here2. Get KLHThreathmeter. Here3. Get TeamSpeak 2 Here and a microphone(a mic is not über important). Most of the tactics will be told in TS 4. Get Decursive Here Most important for Mages, Priests and Druids. 4. See to it that you are done with all the stuff you need to do afk.))

It's more useful for healers and tanks, really, but yes, it helps.
